Policies:

Tuition:  Based on 10 monthly payment plan (September-June) Tuition is calculated on the total number of hours being taken over the entire 10 month schedule. Each Class will meet 35 times during the year. Holidays, dance studio scheduled closings, and months where there are less than or more than 4 meetings have been taken into account when your equal payment amount is determined. There is NO pro-rating of tuition due to absence, illness, vacations, school events, or holidays. Tuition is non-refundable.

**If your payment is received after the 7th day of each month regardless of absence or illness, a late fee of $20.00 will be added to your account and a late fee notice will be E-MAILED to your email address on file.   An additional $25 late fee will be added to your account after the 15th of each month and a late fee letter will be MAILED to your address on file.  Students who fall two months behind on payments will not be allowed to take dance class, until the account is paid in full with cash or credit card, including late fees.  Families that have been assessed the $25 late fee twice during the dance year will be automatically dropped from all classes. Please speak to management if other payment arrangements are necessary. Late fee notices will be emailed on the 8th and mailed on the 16th.

All accounts must be paid up by June 8th in order to participate in dress rehearsals and recitals.

There are no refunds for missed classes.  If your child misses a class, he/she can make it up during another class that is similar to the registered class.  Make-ups must be done within 30 days of the class missed. Please call first to schedule a make-up class.  Please be aware that many classes are working on recital dances during the months of February-June (dances may not be the same as your dancer's). There will be no make-ups after June 1st.

We Accept Cards, cash and checks.  Checks should be payable to Noelle's Dance Academy.  There will be a $25.00 fee for all checks returned for insufficient funds.

Registration:   In order to be registered, you must complete our registration form, and pay the registration fee.  The annual non-refundable registration fee is $25 for each dancer, $40 per family.

Age Deadline:  November 1, 2021 is the age eligibility deadline date for class placement.

Recital:  Dates are to be determined. Dancing in the recital is optional and not a requirement to participate in the class. Expenses will include costumes, recital tickets, and tights/shoes/undergarments.  Class pictures and recital DVDs are optional to purchase. Families may need to attend more than one show in order to see all their dancer's/dancers' dances.

Costumes:  Costumes are required for each routine that a student will be performing in the year end recital. A $35 costume fee for each class will be due on October 1st and November 1st. Costume balances will be emailed on February 1st and due on March 1st. All costumes will be handed out in April. Tights/shoes/undergarments will be an additional cost.  Combo Classes will do two-three dances and will need only one costume.  All other classes will perform just one dance.

**All tuition, late fees, and other balances must be paid in order to receive your costume.  If not, this may result in you not receiving your recital costume in time for the pictures or the recital.

Refunds:  Refunds will not be issued for tuition, registration fees, or recital tickets.  No exceptions.  There will be no refunds for a student’s absence from class.  If class enrollment does not exceed five students, the class will be cancelled and students will be reassigned to another class.  Refunds will be issued only if the studio cancels a class and another class is not an option.

If you withdraw on or before December 1st, 2020, your costume deposit can be refunded.  If you withdraw after December 1st, your costume has been ordered and you will receive your costume when it comes in.  You will be called when the costume is ready for pick up and it must be picked up before July 1, 2021 (after July 1, it will be donated.)

Parent’s Responsibility to be Aware of Dates and Events:  It is the responsibility of the parents to be aware of all dance studio activities, such as recitals, opening or closings, and picture days.  The studio notices are posted on the bulletin board, the website, and in the newsletters sent home with the students.  Please Join our Mailing list (found on Contact page), where notices are sent through e-mail as well.  Please notify the front desk in writing if your address, e-mail address, or telephone number has changed.

Levels and Placement:  Each student is closely evaluated by the faculty and director. Once the dancers progress beyond the combo classes, students do not move up to the next level according to age or the amount of years that they have studied dance. They must be able to execute proper technique of each movement for that level.  It is extremely important that dancers are placed in a level that is appropriate for them, as frustration and even injury may occur.

Attendance:   Attendance and participation is imperative for a dance student to progress. Proper technique and dance skills are accomplished through practice and patience. Advancement to the next level may not be possible due to poor attendance. IF a dancer has inconsistent attendance, participation in the recital is solely at the discretion of the teachers and the studio director. No refunds on missed classes nor on costume purchases.

Behavior: Unruly behavior in the classroom will not be tolerated. Dance is a physical activity that requires discipline. Students can easily injure themselves if they do not follow directions or stay focused during class time. If a teacher is having a problem with your child; you will be contacted so that we can hopefully fix the problem together. Safety is our primary concern and one of the many reasons we limit class size.

Anti-Bullying Policy: Prohibition of Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying NDA is committed to a safe and civil educational environment for all students, employees, volunteer and patrons, free from harassment, intimidation or bullying. “Harassment, intimidation or bullying” means any intentional written, verbal, or physical act, when the intentional written, verbal, or physical act:

• Physically harms a student or damages the student’s property; or

• Has the effect of substantially interfering with a student’s education; or

• Is severe, persistent, or pervasive that it creates an intimidating or threatening educational environment; or

• Has the effect of substantially disrupting the orderly operation of the school.

Holidays, Inclement Weather, or Other Cancellations:  We do not follow Gloucester County Public School systems holiday closing schedule.  Please check our Studio handbook Calendar to review which holidays we are closed.  We also do not follow the public schools snow closures.  A decision will be made by 8:30 AM for morning classes and by 3:00 PM for evening classes.  Closings will be on the studio voicemail, social media and the website.  There is one snow cancellation included in the tuition.  If an additional class is cancelled, students may attend a similar class for a makeup. Refunds will not be issued due to inclement weather.

Care of Students: Noelle's Dance Academy cannot be responsible for the care of students before or after class.  For the children’s safety, we also ask that parents come into the studio to pick them up.  We do not allow children to go into the parking lot unaccompanied by an adult.  Please arrive promptly at the end of your child’s class.  After a 10-minute grace period, a $15 late pickup fee is charged to your account.  Parking on the curb is prohibited.

Teacher Conferences/Questions:  Please leave a message at the front desk if you would like to speak with your child’s teacher.  They will be happy to answer your questions.  Please do not delay them between their classes.
